"Afroverse presents AfroMation. A community event dedicated to celebrating the magical beauty of little black girls. We believe we are the village needed to support, build, and nurture their light. Our change is to remind girls of their strength, beauty, and brains. To be the source that uplifts and provides a community of sisters and family. Through a network of local cheerleaders, artists, allies, family and friends - come join in on the celebration to uplift, unify and be and affirmation of the exceptional greatness that is being a black girl and grow together as sisters."

My final project , is the first chapter to a catalogue on AntiBlackness . Including my artwork, my illustrations, my paintings, my writing and poetry, research and thesis papers, current and historical events. It came out absolutely beautiful and I became more than obsessed with diving in, researching, aimed on spreading awareness about this topic thats so near and dear to my heart. I am loving this direction and cant wait to add another 200 page for chapter two. Hopefully you can enjoy it, get your hands on a copy, love and share. .
Lets talk about Colorism and where it originated, where its rooted, how it has grown & how and why it spreads across the world & even more, how we in the Black community take on and suck in and then spread these white ideals to our own people & even more - hurt our children & their futures. We never talk about it, but it divides us, lets sit down.

Fall 2016 I received scholarships to go study abroad in Berlin, Germany for 3 months with the Graphic and Advertising department from Art Center College of Design. The assignment, was to work with a huge company called Triad who took on the project of reintroducing the soon to be closed down Tegal Airport, as a new experience space and community gathering, amongst other things. My team was responsible for pitching ideas for one specific area, "Terminal D" , but using close and intimate interactions with the locals in all of our decision making. To play that bridge between the community, the people, the consumer and the corporate side of new projects. We created an idea, involved the locals and pitched a brand new possibility for the people and business people - for a future space. The project was called "Socialtecture" because, instead of working in our studio, we built comfortable in person interactions and close relationships and used the boom of social media to give the normally unheard and overlooked - a voice in the decisions of a project that would be soon built in their community.
